On Sunday 29th of June we will be taking over the Big Screen at the Piazza in Wimbledon town centre to bring you a fun filled day of Mexican inspired films and award winning shorts for the whole family.
Our newest restaurant in Wimbledon opened it’s doors in April, bringing the freshest and most delicious Mexican street food to South West London, and with the Big Screen on our doorstep, we have put together a programme of films that we know you will just love.
Here’s what’s on:
1pm Nacho Libre – Jack Black’s brilliant comedy packed with laughs from start to finish follows Jack as a luchador on his fight to save the children from the most fearsome wrestler in town.
3pm Oaxaca Film Festival short films – Named as one of the top 25 film independent festivals in the world, Oaxaca city’s very own, has grown to be one of the largest international film festivals in Latin America. We will be showcasing a selection of short films especially for the day.
5pm Fun in Acapulco – Elvis Presley’s 1963 epic film shot in Acapulco – Mexico, is the perfect movie for a summer’s evening with scenic vistas and Latin-beat tunes.
Wahaca Wimbledon is open from 12pm to 10:30pm ready for you to grab a quick bite between flicks. Entry to the film festival is free for everyone, but arrive early if you want to bag a deckchair.
See you down there.
